Merino 105 EXP yarn has been treated to be machine washable and durable with a new kind of ecological EXP method. EXP is the first wool finishing process in the world to meet the strict criteria of the Bluesign® and GOTS standards, and it also complies with the Eco-Tex standard. The name EXP comes from the word "EX-Pollution", which means that the treatment process aims to minimize environmental pollution. What makes the process ecological is that instead of the traditional anti-felt treatment, the EXP treatment is completely chlorine-free and thus less polluting.
